Cooperstown Candlelight Ghost Tours offers nightly tours seven days a week from April through August and then Monday,Wednesday, Friday and Sunday night tours in September and October. Junior Livestock Show

The 64th annual Junior Livestock show is a celebration of youth in agriculture. The show is the second largest youth competition in the state and the only one of its kind sponsored by a museum in the United States. A tradition in central New York, the event features the area’s best livestock and youth exhibitors from a nine-county region. More than 300 youth handlers and 750 animals are expected to participate. The event tests the skills of participants (ages eight to eighteen) who present animals (dairy cows, beef, swine, goats, and sheep of various breeds) that they own, care for and have prepared for competition. The Junior Livestock Show is conducted in cooperation with Cornell Cooperative Extension County 4-H educators and clubs throughout central New York. On-site services are provided by the Leatherstocking Corp. Admission to the show grounds is free, and the public is welcome to attend.

Includes transportation to the put in point with take out at Tall Pines Campground, a fishing pole to use during your float, river orientation and map, safety equipment, and for our hungry paddlers, our adult fares include a free hotdog and chips when you return, or a discount off our hearty evening dinner special (home cooked BBQ chicken, ribs, pizza, more).

Fine Arts on the Lawn is a two day show and sale of artwork that is open to the public on the front lawn and porch of the Village Library Building. The show consists of 10 - 15 fine artists' tents on the front lawn accompanied by member work diaplayed on the porch. It has become a Labor Day weekend tradition in the area, and every year through this event, we strive to draw the artistic community back to Main Street.

The 16th Annual Madison County Hop Fest starts Friday, Sept. 16 with a paired brew dinner. On Saturday, Sept. 17 at 10 am, on the grounds of the Madison County Historical Society, 435 Main Street in Oneida, there will be presentations by guest speakers on a variety of hop related topics throughout the afternoon. From12-2 pm join us for the Taste of Hops: a food & beer pairing featuring appetizers and confectionery delights from local restaurants. From 2:30-5:30 pm, join us under the beer tent for brewery samplings from some of your favorite craft breweries- Landmark, Cooperstown, Ithaca, Saranac, LongTrail, Middle Ages, High Falls, Ommegang, Magic Hat, Flying Bison, Butternuts, Brooklyn Lager, Smuttynose, DogFish Head, Southern Tier and more!
