The Unadilla and Susquehanna Rivers offer the perfect outdoor  adventure!

Grab a paddle and a canoe and experience the great outdoors on the Unadilla & Susquehanna Rivers! A beautiful, fun-filled adventure for singles, couples, families or groups. The boating is leisurely with a bit of excitement along the way, the scenery spectacular, and there is plenty of time for fishing, picnicking, horseplay, and if the weather's not too chilly, even a quick swim! Tall Pines will provide everything you need to have a fantastic outdoor experience.

Try your hand at fishing for dinner, listen to the birds, watch for wildlife, or simply sit back, relax and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you.

Take your time, there are many spots along the way to explore and have a picnic lunch.  

What We Offer...

~ Tom and Huck's Fun & Fishing Float - This 2-6 hour ride along the Unadilla includes transportation to the put in point with take out at Tall Pines Campground, a bamboo fishing pole to use during your float, river orientation and map, safety equipment, and for our hungry paddlers, our adult fares include a free hotdog and chips when you return, or a discount off our hearty evening dinner (home cooked BBQ chicken, ribs, pizza & more). $30 per person, $7.50 per child under age 12 (with adult fare).

~ Fall Foliage Trips - Discover the splendor of paddling in Autumn. Color displays mirrored on the river's surface with waterfowl and birds of prey to make the trip even more colorful. Held in Sept. & Oct. $30 per person, $7.50 per child under age 12 (with adult fare).

~ Learn to Canoe Package - Easy 1/2 hour to teach all the basics to the beginning paddler. Advance reservations suggested

~ Personalized Trips, Groups, Birthdays, Events - What to try something different? Having a party or special event? Personalized canoe trips are available on the Unadilla and Susquehanna Rivers from Sunday through Friday. Please call for more information.

~ Escorted Canoe Trips - Don't want to go it alone? Our knowledgeable expert will show you all the best spots to swim, fish and explore. Advance reservations are required.

~ Transportation For Your Canoes & Kayaks - Bring your own canoes or kayaks and we will transport them to our drop off point (based on space availability). $15 per canoe/kayak for 1 way transportation for pre-scheduled trips with a minimum of 1 other boat departing at launch point; $25 per canoe/kayak for 1 way transportation for non scheduled trips (not available on Friday/Saturday). Prices also include transportation for 2 people per boat., extra people are $5 per person. Life Jackets are available to rent for $5 per day.

What You Should Bring...

  • Sneakers or Water Shoes are a MUST! No flip-flops
  • Appropriate clothing for the weather
  • Dry change of clothes
  • Sun protection, hat
  • Bathing suit and towel
  • Windbreaker for cool weather
  • Packed lunch
  • Waterproof cameras, binoculars, diving mask and fins are great to have, but are optional

 

 

Important Information:

  • The Unadilla and Susquehanna Rivers are rated as easy to moderate canoeing and encompasses conditions from flat water to class 2 rapids.
  • River trip availability may change due to weather restrictions and river conditions. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule canoe trips due to weather or water conditions. If we must cancel your pre-scheduled trip we will be happy to issue you a refund. 
  • Please arrive in time for your river orientation to complete your necessary paperwork. If you miss your scheduled departure time we cannot guarantee space availability on a future departure.
  • River trips are not recommended for children 4 years old and under
  • All children much be accompanied by an adult or guardian
  • Life vests muct be worn at all times
  • If you appear to under the influence of drugs or alcohol, we retain the right to refuse you rental of our equipment
  • No refunds unless your trip was cancelled by Tall Pines. Credits only.
