OPEN POSITIONS FOR 2010
HOUSEKEEPING – Seasonal Position - Now thru October 13. Approximately 20 hours per week. Must be self directed, thorough, and enjoy cleaning. Must be capable of handling operations without supervision and be able to interact pleasantly with the public. Responsible for cleaning bathhouses, RV rentals, kitchen, rec hall, arcade. Other job dues may also include picking up trash, cleaning of sites and public areas, cleaning fire rings, fall cleanup and winterization, and other tasks as required. This position will generally work 4 hours per day, Thursday to Monday, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off, with a combined total of 20 hours per week. The hours worked for this position are flexible. Additional hours may be required during holiday weekends.
FILLED POSITIONS - Call if interested for 2011
GARDENER/ LANDSCAPER – Seasonal Position - May 15th thru Labor Day. Approximately 20 hours per week. Must be self directed and have a love of gardening and landscaping. Must be capable of handling operations without supervision and be able to interact pleasantly with the public. Responsible for planting, weeding, harvesting, landscape design and implementation, watering flowers, weed eating, some mowing, cleaning and maintenance of sites and public areas, cleaning fire rings, pool maintenance, and a variety of other tasks as required. This position will generally work 4 days per week, usually Monday thru Thursday, with a combined total of 20 hours per week. The days worked for this position are flexible and as long as the work is done, we willing to accommodate requests for different days and flexible hours. Additional hours may be required during planting season and can be used to take comp time off throughout the summer.
STORE/RESERVATIONS/FOOD SERVICE – Seasonal Position -May 15th thru Labor Day (possible extended dates if desired). Approximately 20-25 hours per week. Extra hours may be available during the season and can be used as comp days for days off or vacations throughout the summer. We are seeking an ambitious, outgoing and energetic couple who would like to work in both retail and food service. You will work in our store and soda fountain, take reservations, help with crafts and activities, and assist with serving/preparing food as needed. Both members of the team should be computer literate, able to work with the public, capable of handling operations without supervision, able to multi-task and operate well under pressure, and able to perform cleaning details for the main building, including kitchen, store, game/rec rooms, playroom, store restrooms. With the exception of Holiday weekends, unexpected events, or special projects, hours for this workamping couple would generally be Saturday from 12:30-9:30pm, Sunday from 12-6pm, and one weekday (usually Wednesday) from 12-7pm for a combined total of 20 to 25 hours per week (days or hours may vary). Holiday weekends (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day & Columbus Day) may require that you work Friday and Monday as well, plus you may be needed occasionally for extra hours to cover for staff shortages or vacations. Since our schedule slows down after Labor Day, if you choose to stay past that date the days that you work may change and more outside work may be needed. You may also be needed occasionally to help with end of season housekeeping and winterization tasks to prepare our campground store and restaurant for the off season.
LABORER/MAINTENANCE/ASSISTANTS. Short Term Positions (minimum of 2 weeks). Positions available beginning April 1st through October 11th. 40 hours of work equals a 2 week complimentary stay (minimum 20 hours per week required). This position would require helping with construction of additional campsites including water, electric, cable, septic, site work, etc; completion of a laundry room; renovations and repair of main building; and other tasks associated with opening and expanding our campground. Other tasks may include special projects, maintenance, assisting other employees, cleaning, mowing, and various other duties..
Workamping couples are allowed to share positions provided that each partner is fully capable of fulfilling the duties of the position
